We are thrilled to introduce a new Golf Residential experience tailored for young individuals aged 16 to 25. Nestled in the heart of Norfolk, The Dunston Hall Hotel in Norwich offers an Elizabethan-style country retreat that dates back to 1859, featuring an 18-hole championship course. Spanning 6,179 yards of meticulously designed greens, the Dunston golf course boasts a USPGA rating and gracefully winds through the Dunston Hall estate.
Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their golf skills, boost their confidence, and forge lasting friendships—all while fulfilling the DofE residential requirements.
Throughout the week, you will compete both in teams and as individuals, vying for a spot at the top of the leaderboard. The experience culminates in a Gala Dinner with a live leaderboard reveal and an awards ceremony to celebrate your achievements and teamwork.

We will be staying in Dunston's Classic Rooms, which offer that perfect blend of comfort and practicality. Each room is elegantly decorated and comes equipped with all the essentials for a relaxing getaway. Enjoy a warm drink while reading or watching TV, snuggling under the cozy covers of a super-comfortable bed. You'll wake up feeling completely refreshed and ready to take on a day on the course!
You will be sharing a twin room with another participant of the same age and gender. A single room supplement is available at an additional charge.
All meals are included in the course fee. Each day, a hearty English breakfast is served in the Brasserie, followed by lunch and a delightful three-course dinner at one of Dunston’s elegant dining venues.
There are Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options available. All produce is prepared in an area where allergens are present.

Free use of the health club is included in your stay. If you want to make sure you don’t miss leg day during your getaway, there's everything you need in the Gym with hi-tech Life Fitness equipment.
For those who want to be in the water, the indoor swimming pool, complete with a whirlpool, is ready and waiting. And don’t forget you can also make use of the sauna or steam room following your gym session for some revitalization and to relax those hard-worked muscles.

This residential experience aligns with the core aims of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award by fostering independence, teamwork, communication, leadership, and resilience. Participants will engage in structured golf activities and shared living experiences that encourage collaboration, reflection, and personal challenges, all in keeping with the Duke of Edinburgh’s values.
Our team boasts over 20 years of experience in delivering the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, with more than 2,500 participants successfully completing their GOLD Residential Section with us. All staff members have undergone enhanced DBS checks, and we adhere to stringent safeguarding procedures.
Every activity is thoroughly risk-assessed and adheres to rigorous health and safety protocols.
